Vetrochina, also called vitreous china, is a material with characteristics halfway between porcelain and stoneware, made up of kaolin, silica, calcite, clay, dolomite and talc in variable quantities. The firing of Vetrochina articles takes place between 1200°C and 1300°C. The result is a material with a porosity-free surface (therefore totally waterproof), and resistant to acids.
